Going to Russia!

Look at that! My little Moly is going to Russia. :)
I've send it to Nailya last friday, I'm very curious as to how long it takes to get from Utrecht to Moscow if you're a brave little sketckbook.

I've put a cute little card in the back pocket, if you like you can write someting on it.

Here is the completed version above.

I got my moleskin last week and started my first entry today... so here it is...
Is there a way that we can have a order list of who sends to who? Like, Eefje will send to lizzy, then lizzy will send to rebeca, etc.

Hi everybody!

So here were are, on our very own blog!

A small introductory text: My name is Eefje and I live in the Netherlands, I'm 23 (24 in two weeks) and I work as an editorial graphic designer at the Dutch branch of the free newspaper Metro.

I've gotten my Japanese Fold Sketchbook a few weeks ago, and I've already decided on a theme for it:
moly_x_74 my theme

You're prettier when you laugh, so draw something funny!

I'm curious to see how much we can work our sense of humour into this book. :)
I hope you like my theme!

(The sign in sheet, my entry will begin right next to it.)

I bought the books!

I bought the japanese fold moleskin sketchbook from I should get it in a couple of days. I'm still a little confused though, how does everyone get the first address?

Lizzy asks:

okay this is my first time doing this. so when do i send them and how do i find out who to send them to?

Read this. Post any questions or comments.

What is the Moleskine Exchange?

Each artist will set off with a small Japanese (accordian) folded Moleskine. Creating a drawing, collage, or painting, then send on to the next artist. Each artist will draw on a spread (2 or 3 pages) then send it on to the next artist. When the artists book is filled, it will be returned to the owner with images created by artist around the world. Each artist has a month to make an entry. The outcome will be a pleasant and surprising adventure, as artists are encouraged to interact and merge their art with others.

The concept:
1. The artists start with the Japanese fold Moleskine - Name, address, email address written in book.

2. Each artist gets 1 month to make a sketchbook entry, and mail it to the next person. The order is listed to the right.

3. Each artist will do 2-4 pages each round.

4. Artists are encouraged to interact with other images in the book. Please be respectful.

5. When the book is full, when one side of the unfolded book is filled, the book will be sent back to its original owner. That artist may continue by buying a new book and sending it to the next person.

6. If a person decides not to continue, she will simply keep her book when it comes back to her. She should email all of the participants to say she is not going to continue. We will decide, then, if we want to find a new person.

7. Please communicate regularly via email. Let each person know that you have received/sent the book. The goal is to have a dialogue. Any comments and questions are welcome.
